toi news AHMEDABAD: Incharge vice-chancellor of Gujarat University (GU) Dr Mukul Shah has reversed one more decision of former VC Adesh Pal. Shah has issued a directive that admissions to the 300 vacant seats in different departments of the university will be conducted from August 13-24.
Pal had ordered that the dates for filling the seats in the GU departments will not be extended. Once the deadlines for admissions passed, there were several representations from the students seeking admission to the vacant seats but Pal had remained adamant.After Pal's unceremonious departure on Friday, Shah decided on Monday that the departments can undertake admissions to fill the seats. The details of the vacant seats will be uploaded on the official website of GU. There are 10 seats vacant in PG courses in English department, 50 in political science, 20 in history, 40 each in Hindi and Sanskrit and 15 in Gujarati.
